CONSERVATION
SACF is dedicated to conserving the marine environment by funding reseach and educational projects that will help protect and restore threatened species and habitats. Protecting and conserving our coasts is critical for future generations to enjoy the full range of species and marine environments.
RESEARCH

SACF is currently supporting research carried out by Department of Primary Industries (Fisheries), Department of Environment and Climate Change 9DECC), Sydney University, University of Technology Sydney (UTS), University of New South Wales (UNSW), university of Newcastle and Sydney Institue of Marine Science (SIMS)
EDUCATION
Raising community awareness of our local marine ecosystems and the threats to them is an integral part of SACF. Through a range of activities and programmes we hope to inspire the community to learn more about our precious coast and its inhabitants, and what can be done to conserve them. SACF raises money through fundraising activities and sponsorship arrangements to fund and support scientific and educational projects that have applied conservation outcomes aimed at conserving, protecting, restoring or fostering sustainable use of Australian aquatic species, habitats and resources.
